my territory is a vast space of nothing
my territory is suffering and despair
closing in on my steel cage
while the sound of the enemy
draws closer than ever

I look back and say to myself
this might be my last day
to make something of myself

we will rejoice in arms
to a victory of shedded blood
breathing in cold air, singing the songs
of those who would rather sleep below
through the depths of time

sleepless and deprived of warmth
I climb onto a piece of floating steel
